Remembering the Lamb: Tell them All

Instructions from Risen Savior

The message that Jesus delivered by the women was received and disciples went to Galilee. There the risen savior met them. There was a mixture of emotions for the disciples. Some of them believed and some doubted, but all of them still heard the instructions of Christ.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." The instruction from Jesus became the mission of the disciples and has continued as the mission of the Church. And the Church cannot stop until we have taken the disciple making to all nations.

Reaching all nations with the Gospel is a daunting task but Jesus makes a promise that he will be with his disciples "always, to the end of the age."

Tell them All

Each of the Gospels finish with this command and promise. Jesus commands His disciples to go and tell the world. Much has been written about this command and many have since followed it to the ends of the earth. For you and I, this command is practical and necessary. We easily appreciate the Gospel's work in our own lives, but many times neglect to offer our hope to others. Jesus' command is purposefully spoken to people who, like us, might simply be content with being saved.

Jesus does not give that option.

Instead He gives a promise. Jesus makes a commitment to always be with the believer, no matter where life takes them, all the way to end of their days. The ruler of heaven and earth will never leave you. Take heart saints, young and old, because your Risen Lord is with you even if you go to the ends of the earth. Take heart and be bold with the message of salvation, because it is the power of God to save.

In your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.

1 Peter 3:15
